Vashtarr was a wizard who gained his powers from the Gem of Glory. In Prophecy of Peril, he fought Thundarr, Princess Ariel, and Ookla in an attempt to stop a prophecy from coming to pass. To do this, he attempted to abduct the three women, Cinda, Maya, and Valerie Storm who were prophesied by the Crystal of Prophecy to defeat him. This backfired when the gathering was able to counterattack him and destroy the Gem of Glory. Without the Gem, Vashtarr was left powerless.
